While Old South Union Church is committed to making a difference right here in our own community, we also send mission teams to volunteer their time and talents on national and international mission trips. Each summer, we have a mission team that travels to Coatesville, PA to work with an organization called Good Works, Inc. Through Good Works, we help to rebuild homes and restore hope. The Pennsylvania mission trip is open to adults and young people who are age 13 and up. Young people under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian on the trip with them. No construction experience is needed to join the mission team! This group is open to people of all abilities who have a desire to work hard and love even harder.
During the summer, we also send volunteers to Ecuador to work with an organization called Adopta Una Familia. Volunteers live with local host families and work to build permanent and safe housing in the impoverished neighborhood of Guasmo Sur in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This group is open to adults and teenagers.
